Welcome to The Twenty First Century ‘Dark Ages’

No Mothers: The Twenty First Century Dark Ages

Blame and shame is what divorced dads have become professional at. At the centre of the media spotlight is a 12 year old girl who is pregnant from a 15 year old boy. The family of the fifteen year old boy is not apprehended, nor the centre of concerns. The mother however is viewed upon with contempt for a crime she never committed. The father publicly humiliated her by saying that

the mother had allowed the boyfriend to stay at the home. The grandmother cleared such speculation, "He's not in jail and he's never lived at the house," the grandmother toldThe Daily Telegraph. The underlying issues that condemned a 12 year old was hate of women's freedom.

The fact that her mother did not stay with the father, the fact that in separation, she is still tied to his accusations. In the political climate of post shared parenting bill, every women who leaves a husband is standing on egg shells whilst fathers groups wait for her to fall. The term, "kicking her whilst she is down" comes in mind here, but this father had to set this "fall" up and create the sensationalism. The question he was really asking DOCS was not of whether his child is protected, but why are they not punishing her.

In other news, a minister was humiliated by senator Hogg for taking her child into the chamber. The excuse was that the child was classed as a "stranger in the house". This was also applied to Kristie Marshall in 2003 when she breast-fed her baby.

it is no wonder there are few provisions for mothers in the legislation when mothers are made to choose between their children and their work on building a future for them. Any dirty trick to exclude a mother from law is used in these instances. The laws for men and fatherhood are ambiguous. They are built upon the remnants of what use to be a "men only" society. Over the past few decades, women's rights have worked away tirelessly upon removing what entrenches women. They have also opened the doors to the rights of children and rights of other groups that have been affected. New generations have emerged with the rights that were once fought for whilst the old begin to retire, unaware of the opposition and potential for such rights to be reversed. They are the loophole generation, naive and free with choices. The rise of those who oppose women's rights has reached its fruition within public domain. They have learned to abuse the same speeches, phrases and strategies that were used to liberate women. Their rhetoric is that women have "enough" rights and are abusing theirs. The manner of which is demonstrated is in the area of family law; a place that only those who have accessed such a place know fully of its true nature.

The Family Court still deals with children and property in one case. Their decisions, research and statistics are heavily guarded under the guise of "best interests", the same phrase used by Nazi social workers to abduct and adopt children out to German families because in their eyes, it was the child's "best interest" was to be german. The current climate, "shared parenting" and "best Interests" are used to reinforce a new marriage contract and punish disobedient mothers. "Disobedient mothers" are viewed to be those who do not encourage a relationship to the father and turn a blind eye to his actions. The worst treated in the realm of the family court are often the ones who have endured the most to stand against such treatment. According to practitioners, the reason for so many family violence cases being ignored is because they need to guard against false allegations. What they wont tell you is that these, "false allegations" are actually cases where there is not enough evidence provided. What is also not brought to light is the number of these, "False allegation" cases that are ordered not to access services that are equipped to investigate. This includes doctors, therapists and child protection workers. Even requests for contact to be done at a police station are barred. In a modern world, these traditions have managed to survive in isolation. Like the remnants of the black plague, the threat of women and children becoming property has never been so real.

Welcome to the twenty first century dark age, where the nightmare has only just begun.

It is...

WICHITA, Kan. — Dr. George R. Tiller was standing beside a refreshment table inside his church, discussing his fondness for doughnuts, when a man walked up, pressed a gun against the doctor’s head and fired, a fellow church member recalled Tuesday.

“I wasn’t sure if it was a cap gun or what,” Gary Hoepner, the church member, testified in a hearing here that offered the first significant details of what happened the morning Dr. Tiller, one of the nation’s only doctors to perform late-term abortions, was killed.

“And then George fell,” said Mr. Hoepner, who testified he had been standing within touching distance of Dr. Tiller in the church foyer and who, like Dr. Tiller, had been serving as an usher that Sunday, May 31, at Reformation Lutheran. “I couldn’t believe what I was seeing,” added Mr. Hoepner, a member of the church for 52 years.

At the end of the hearing, a judge concluded that there was sufficient evidence to try Scott P. Roeder, an abortion opponent from Kansas City, Mo., for first-degree murder in the death of Dr. Tiller, whose clinic had been firmly at the center of the nation’s battle over abortion for more than three decades.

A lawyer for Mr. Roeder entered a not-guilty plea on his behalf. Mr. Roeder made no public comments at the daylong hearing but appeared to listen closely to the testimony against him, at times gazing up at elaborate diagrams of the church foyer and jotting notes. Afterward, Mr. Roeder’s lawyers declined to comment on their defense plans, noting that the hearing had presented only witnesses for the prosecution. The trial has been set for Sept. 21.

Balding and considerably slimmer after nearly two months in jail, Mr. Roeder, 51, wore a jacket and a tie and leg shackles.

In testimony, several church members said that Mr. Roeder had come to the church occasionally in the weeks and months before the shooting. Because of Dr. Tiller’s presence, the church had been the target of occasional outbursts by abortion protesters, the church members recalled, so congregants were sensitive to new faces.

“He didn’t seem in place,” said Keith Martin, a church member of 25 years who said he had repeatedly seen Mr. Roeder, but had not spoken with other church members about him. “I was suspicious of him,” he said, adding that Mr. Roeder had drawn particular notice because of a pungent, overwhelming odor around him, something akin to ammonia.

Mr. Roeder attended the service one week before the shooting, Mr. Hoepner said, and left a written note (with a reference to tax policy) in the collection plate. As it happened, Dr. Tiller had not attended church that Sunday, though he was listed in an insert in the church bulletin, handed out each week to all who come, as an usher for the entire month of May.

Crowds have nearly always materialized in this city for anything to do with Dr. Tiller or his opponents, whether rallies, court cases or simply gatherings outside his clinic, now closed.

But only a small cluster of observers sat in the courtroom on Tuesday, and at least seven were uniformed law enforcement authorities in the tightly screened gallery. Dr. Tiller’s family was not seen there, nor were the best-known leaders of Operation Rescue and other anti-abortion groups here, which have denounced the killing.

If convicted, Mr. Roeder could face life in prison. Prosecutors have said the case does not meet certain circumstances required for the death penalty under Kansas law, including, for instance, the killing of a law enforcement officer or more than one person.

He is also charged with two counts of aggravated assault, accused of threatening to shoot Mr. Hoepner and Mr. Martin, who was also volunteering as an usher that Sunday.

The shooting occurred just as the service was starting. Dr. Tiller and Mr. Hoepner, as ushers, had lingered in the foyer to hand out bulletins to latecomers. The two stood beside a table of juice and doughnuts, Mr. Hoepner said, exchanging small talk. It was then, he said, that Mr. Roeder emerged from the sanctuary through a door often used for those slipping off to the restroom, stepped into the foyer and shot Dr. Tiller.

Mr. Hoepner said he followed Mr. Roeder outside toward the parking lot, but stopped when the man turned and called out, “I’ve got a gun, and I’ll shoot you.” Mr. Martin ran after Mr. Roeder, too, he testified, and at one point called out to him, “How could you do that?” The man yelled back something, Mr. Martin said, like, “he was a murderer” or “he was a killer.”

When the man reached his car, Mr. Martin was about 10 feet away, blocking the car’s exit. Mr. Roeder yelled “Move!” Mr. Martin recalled, but he stayed put. At that, Mr. Martin said, the man pulled out the gun, pointed it at him, and said, “I’ll shoot you.”

Mr. Martin stepped aside, but flung the cup of coffee he was still carrying — cup and all — through an open window in the man’s car as he drove away. Mr. Roeder, whose license plate had been spotted by another church member, was arrested a few hours later along a Kansas highway about 170 miles away.

"Death in Their Eyes"

Susan Murphy Milano Show 7/29/2009 3pm CST call in (347) 326-9337 http://tobtr.com/s/609452

Mary is a 51 year- old mother of 3 who will be officially divorced this week after 22 years of marriage.

Her road to life without abuse similar to millions of others in her situation will continue to be difficult. This morning as she was moving into her new home, Mary felt uneasy about her safety. "He's not done with me. I know he will kill me or make it look like an accident. I am terrified." While waiting for the alarm company installer to arrive Mary and I went over safety issues to implement and watch for in her new home.

We walked around the outside of the house with a handyman she hired to secure the windows by placing hinges on the inside removing all the screens replacing then with storm windows. We marked all the doors to be replaced with deadbolts not only on each door but included the screen storm doors, and side door of the garage. Once the alarm company arrived we strategically discussed the placement of the wireless system. In Mary's situation because her husband is angry and violent and has thtretened to take her life the alarm company also wired the garage and extra windows leading into the basement. It cost several hundred dollars extra but it was well worth it.

The alarm company installer suggested that the entire landscape of bushes, or large plants near any of the widows be either cut very low or removed entirely. So that no one could hide. Then Mary and I went to Menards and bought motions lights for the outside of the home and various timers for lights inside the house.

Her husband was scheduled to pick up their son for dinner after I left. I received a text message from Mary, "when he got here he came after me and I had to call the police-they refused to arrest him and I insisted a report be made-Susan he had the look of death in his eyes and he told me I'll never make it to court alive on thursday-he said if I drop divorce he'll forgive me and we can stay married. "

The safety strategies I have implemented for Mary are specific to her abuser and how handy he is at breaking and entering into places always without anyone seeing him. His anger is at a very dangerous level and Mary has a 50/50 chance at staying alive ifshe remains calm and on guard at all times. And it is a lot of work, but it is possible.

Often a woman is killed because she was not prepared to defendherself. Or the courts refuse to issue an order of protection or police do not feel they have enough to make an arrest. Regardless, a woman fights for the system to do its' job and to basically while continuing to fight the abuser when no one is looking , then fight for her kids and her life. I think about women like Kathleen Savio, the third wife of Drew Peterson. Was there an alarm in the home? If yes why wasn't it activated? Drew Peterson is not only a trainedpolice officer but a skilled locksmith. Did he sneak in while she was sleeping? Did Peterson catch Kathleen off guard at a time of night when it was least expected? Did he sneak into the house and pull a gun on her? Did Kathleen and Drew Peterson struggle? In my opinion like criminal profilers, these are cases that I study in hopes of keeping other women alive.

As a society we have a long way to go before we treat domesticviolence in the home as a crime. And then just maybe in high school classrooms we can replace how to correctly use a condom with how to know the signs of an abuser and how to stay safe and what to do if you are in an abusive relationship.

If you have ended a relationship, change those locks, immediately! And do a walk around your home. Remove any ladders, make sure the garage is locked, put away any tools. And yes, even rearrange your living space. What about your windows and sliding glass doors? Get yourself over to the hardware store and find the best cost effective method to bars and locks for these areas.

What about a Do? Don't have a dog? Go ahead and buy or make a Dog Beware sign and put it in your windows.Another great tip is to record the sound of a barking dog. If you don't have a dog, take a recorder and head to the nearest dog shelter and tape the barking sounds. Go ahead and even record your phone voice and message right there on the spot, at the dog shelter. Say something like" Okay Sparky, I'm on the phone, that's enough, be quiet, sorry can't come to the phone please leave a message .Then head home and play it into your phone message system. Then strangers and others you are trying to keep away will think you have dogs and that may deter them. You can also play a recoding each time you answer your telephone with just the sounds of a barking dog. What about a basic home security system? This goes hand in hand with the other security solutions above. To learn more about systems here is an alarm link:http://www.homeimprovementmag.com/Articles/2006/06May_safe_@_home.html If you keep a spare key outside someplace-stop it now! Never leave a key anywhere outside your home.If you are not expecting anyone or anything to arrive at your door, do not open the door. If the bell continues to ring waiting for you to answer the door and you do not know who it is, call 911.And never, ever leave any type of note on your door or mail box for anyone. Either text message them, send an email or do it the old fashioned way and call them.
